DCLM Sincere Milk  3 December 2023 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Prayer That Changes Destiny – Part 2

Topic: Prayer That Changes Destiny – Part 2

Text: Mark 11:22-24

22And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.

23For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

24Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

Key Verse: “Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.” Mark 11:24

Message

Aliu was a very healthy child until he clocked eighteen months. One day, the mother woke up in the morning to discover that Aliu could not move again. Thereafter he became lame. This was the beginning of trouble for Aliu’s mother and family. This boy was taken from one health facility to another without any cure. At one of the hospitals, the doctor discovered that there was no bone in Aliu’s left leg, it was all flesh. The mother wept bitterly when she was told that there was nothing medical science could do to help the boy. Since then, Aliu had been going about on stick with a boneless leg until the time of the Great Miracle Crusade. Somebody invited Aliu’s mother to the programme. After thinking about the invitation, she decided to give it a try.

As the preacher, I did not know that a case as bad as that of the “boneless” leg was in the congregation. I simply said “if you came lame, on crutches or sticks, get ready to walk. I am going to pray a miracle prayer.” It was a very short prayer. Then I asked the people to check their bodies and do what they could not do before. When they opened their eyes after prayer, Aliu’s mother discovered that Aliu could walk without the aid of sticks. There were shouts of joy all over the crusade ground. That was how a boneless leg got new bones from the “hospital of heaven.” God still answers prayers and there is nothing too hard for Him to do. Are you sick or know anyone in your family who is sick? Do not fear, but believe. God will answer your prayer and you will rejoice.

Prayer for today: Lord, I believe that You can do all things.

GOSPEL REALM: STEPS TO SALVATION
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
