DCLM Sincere Milk 4 December 2023 — Prayer That Changes Destiny – Part 3
DCLM Sincere Milk 4 December 2023 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Prayer That Changes Destiny – Part 3
Topic: Prayer That Changes Destiny – Part 3
Text: Matthew 7:7-11
7Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
9Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?
10Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?
11If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?
Key Verse: “For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.” Matthew 7:8
Message
In the South Eastern part of Nigeria, there was a woman who had the unfortunate incident of having a baby without any bone in the neck. The head, strange enough sunk into the shoulder. This woman had gone all over the world in her search of help and that had gone on for some years. Sometime ago, we had a meeting there. The meeting attracted thousands of people. After the preaching and the altar call, it was time to pray for the sick. I told the people: “This is the day …”. I did not even know that a mother with such a hopeless case with her child was there.
But God led me to tell the people to lay their hands on themselves if they are sick. The mother laid her hand on the child. Then I prayed. After the prayer, the woman began to shout – it was one of joy. Her child had received the miracle of the day. God had instantaneously created and fixed bones in the child’s neck. The head became distinct, supported by a neck with bones in it. The mother, shedding tears of joy, gave the testimony before thousands of people. God of wonders is still doing great things, even today. Trust Him with your life. Share His love with those who are suffering. Bring them to the Saviour Who is always ready to hear, answer our prayers and change destinies.

Prayer for today: Lord, I commit my needs and troubles into Your hands, answer all my prayers and give me testimony.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
