DCLM Daily Manna 26 September 2025 — Seek the Right Knowledge
DCLM Daily Manna 26 September 2025 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Seek the Right Knowledge
Topic: Seek the Right Knowledge (DCLM Daily Manna 25 September 2025)
KEY VERSE: “Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory” (1 Corinthians 2:8).
Text: 1 CORINTHIANS 2:6-16
6Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:
8Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
9But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
10But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
11For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
12Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
13Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
14But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
15But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.
16For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.
DCLM Daily Manna For Today MESSAGE:
Research findings say the leaders of the modern age have amassed “a world of information (knowledge) at their fingertips that no previous generation did.” They are said to be redefining and dictating the trends of every aspect of human conduct, including governance, politics, economy, science and technology, arts, entertainment and culture, to the point that their influence would have spiral effects very deep into the future. But despite this level of knowledge, the world is still reeling in moral squalor and depravity. Rather than getting better, our world is becoming worse off.

As admirable as this rise in knowledge is, it falls far short of the right kind of knowledge the world needs. According to Paul, despite all their knowledge that will even “come to naught”, the great people of this world (the princes) still went ahead to kill the Lord of glory. They obviously lacked the critical factor, namely the wisdom of God, which would have guided them into the acknowledgment and recognition of Christ as their Lord and Saviour.
More than 2,000 years after Paul’s lamentation, the great men and women of this age are still locked in a fierce race to acquire education and knowledge but shut out Christ, the Wisdom of God. Yet, it is Christ who can open their eyes to have a glimpse of the infinitely better things that “God hath prepared for them that love him.” It is this ignorance that limits man’s vision and robs them of adequate fellowship and communion with the Lord and His word.

What the Lord demands is a world governed by the wisdom His Spirit gives. True and pure wisdom can only be found in Christ. Until sinners come to Jesus for salvation, they will still be groping helplessly in the darkness of sin and evil. As Christians, we must brighten our world with the light of the gospel to dispel the darkness of spiritual ignorance and liberate souls. Let us make it a priority to preach the truth on our pulpits and the streets until everyone believes and receives Christ.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Shutting out the wisdom of God in pursuit of worldly good will shut you out of heaven.
THE BIBLE IN ONE YEAR
Psalms 36 – 38
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
