Text — John 4:7-10
7There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink.
8(For his disciples were gone away unto the city to buy meat.)
9Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans.
10Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.

Message
Sharing is a kind act of giving out what you possess to a friend, neighbor, or even stranger. Sharing is an important Christian service that every child of God must be involved in. God has blessed you with life resources and more importantly salvation. Do not enjoy it alone, share with others.
Jesus’ encounter and conversation with the Samaritan woman reveal important truths about His purpose on earth.
(i) It shows His commitment to doing His heavenly father’s will on earth
(ii) it also gives us an understanding of His desire to share His love with sinners and give them eternal life. Jesus’ utmost desire and passion was to save the lost.
This desire and goal were more important to Him than food and drink. We must follow Jesus’ example and share the gospel with sinners whenever we have the opportunity. All around us, are children who have never heard the real story of God’s love to mankind. We must find ways to share the love of Jesus with sinners so that they can be saved and qualified for eternal life.

Prayer for today: Lord, teach me to be a good witness and share your love with sinners.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
