DCLM Sincere Milk 3 June 2024 — The Ageless God
DCLM Sincere Milk 3 June 2024 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — The Ageless God
Topic: The Ageless God
Text: Psalm 102:24-27
24I said, O my God, take me not away in the midst of my days: thy years are throughout all generations.
25Of old hast thou laid the foundation of the earth: and the heavens are the work of thy hands.
26They shall perish, but thou shalt endure: yea, all of them shall wax old like a garment; as a vesture shalt thou change them, and they shall be changed:
27But thou art the same, and thy years shall have no end.
Key Verse: “But thou art the same, and thy years shall have no end.” Psalm 102:27
Message
All living things age, grow old and die off overtime. God is not like that, He does not age, grow older nor will He die off. He is also not limited by time, does not grow weaker nor get tired. He dwells in timeless eternity. The Bible says: “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and for ever.” (Hebrews 13:8) God does not change. He created everything that exists and that means He has been in existence before the heavens and the earth were created. God will continue to be after everything ceases to be.

The never-changing nature of God gives us the assurance that God is ever present in our midst. He is very much with us though we cannot see Him physically. This assurance of His existence and presence with us should make you know He is watching over you. He cares about you and whatever He has promised you will be fulfilled no matter how long it takes. Just put your trust in Him, accept Jesus as your personal Saviour and Friend and walk diligently with Him always. The ageless God is abiding with you.

Prayer for today: Father, please help me to trust in Your immortality.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
