DCLM Daily Manna For Today MESSAGE:

In today’s world, many people have lost sight of the unchanging divine standards while pursuing material wealth and glory. They desire to succeed without labour and reap where they have not sown. Their quest most often ends in failure and frustration because they leave God out of the equation. Richard L. Strauss’ assertion thus proves true: “God is delighted at performing miracles for people who see themselves as part of His programme… and who live to do His will”.

Today’s Scripture reveals the simple demand of God for everyone to key into His abundant provision freely made available. These provisions include spiritual growth, health, protection, preservation, material possession, peace and many other things summarized by Apostle Peter as “all things that pertain unto life and godliness” (2 Peter 1:3). It is obvious therefore, that obeying God’s command is a duty and it is in our best interest.

Indeed, we will have to care less about many things in life if we give adequate and diligent attention to keeping God’s commandments. God’s promises are for those who delight in His precepts. Those who live right and do good will definitely harvest peace, prosperity and protection from Him. Although God is good to all, His promises are attached to clear conditions that should be met by those who wish to be partakers.

The prevailing chaos and crises in the world are not God’s own making but the result of the digression of man from the path of obedience to His word. The Lord still undertakes for believers who walk in obedience to His word. In the fast-paced world we live in, it is always good to pause to do self-examination and see if there is an aspect of your life where you are living in disobedience to God. If you find any, you can penitently go to Him for mercy and grace.

GOSPEL REALM: STEPS TO SALVATION
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
