DCLM Sincere Milk 15 July 2025 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — The Envelope
Topic: The Envelope
Text: Ephesians 2:7-10
7That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
8For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9Not of works, lest any man should boast.
10For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
Key Verse: “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:” Ephesians 2:8
Message
Amsalem was surprised to receive a gift of an envelope one faithful afternoon. He wasn’t expecting any gift from anyone, so he was joyful that someone could remember him. He opened the envelope and found a precious treasure in it, when he tried to sell it the price was far beyond his imagination, that was when he knew that the gift was precious.

The gift of God is precious, packaged in the envelope of the blood of Jesus; salvation is the priceless gift. Just like the envelop given to Amsalem was precious, so also the gift of God is precious. For by grace are ye saved through faith.
Salvation is a free gift from God. That is why you need not delay in repenting of your sins. God has something special for you and does not want you to miss the beautiful home that has been prepared for you. Come as you are, you may be dirty as anything, God will have mercy on you and receive you unto Himself. The special envelope is waiting for you to receive it. All you need do is to repent, confess your sins to God, ask Him to forgive and cleanse your heart with the blood of Jesus.

Prayer for today: I accept my envelope of salvation today, help me Lord to remain saved.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
