Text: John 14: 27-31
28Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.
29And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe.
30Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.
31But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence.
Key Verse: “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” John 14:27
Message
Victoria was coming home from an errand one evening when a sudden fear gripped her heart. She had to pass through a short cut to her house and unfortunately, everywhere was becoming dark due to power outage. As she doubled her pace, she began to pray and quote the promises of God. “Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me;”. Suddenly, all of her fears disappeared and she felt the peace of God in her heart.
Victoria was able to enjoy God’s presence at such a time because she had made peace with God and had been forgiven of all her sins. The Bible refers to God as Jehovah Shalom. He is the God of peace Who gives His peace for our fears and makes us live in peace with others. Jesus is the Prince of Peace Who came to reconcile us back to God the Father. If you have made peace with God, it is your duty to live at peace with everyone and also lead sinners to make peace with Him.

Prayer for today: Lord Jesus, let Your peace reign in my life.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
