DCLM Sincere Milk 15 July 2026 — The Moving Vehicle
DCLM Sincere Milk 15 July 2026 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — The Moving Vehicle
Topic: The Moving Vehicle
Bible Reading: Hebrews 11:9-16 (KJV)
9By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise:
10For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.
11Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised.
12Therefore sprang there even of one, and him as good as dead, so many as the stars of the sky in multitude, and as the sand which is by the sea shore innumerable.
13These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.
14For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country.
15And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned.
16But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.
KEY VERSE: “These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.” Hebrews 11:13
Message
One day, Joy’s dad went to pick her and her brother from school. On their way to the house, the car suddenly stopped moving. The engine refused to start and had to be pushed off the road.
The above car is just like every living soul (boy/girl) on earth. Often times, some cars will suddenly stop working and it is an indication that it needs to be repaired. Usually, cars should be maintained through constant servicing. You must check the water level, engine oil level, tyres etc., on a daily basis. Don’t forget that every car is being driven by a driver. Who is the driver of your life?
Friends of Jesus are strangers and pilgrims on earth. Jesus is the Driver of their lives. Sin, compromise, worldly allurements etc., can knock you down if you are careless. Beware! Service your life daily through constant check-up. Read the Bible, pray always and rest in God’s grace. All souls are moving vehicles; either to heaven or hell.
Decide who drives the car of your life now. Connect to Jesus as you seek for cleansing through His shed blood. He will forgive and guide you steadily to heaven at last.
PRAYER FOR TODAY
Heavenly Father, drive me safely through the journey of life.
FURTHER READING
Genesis 47:9
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
