DCLM Higher Everyday 17 March 2026 — The Omniscience Of Our God
DCLM Higher Everyday 17 March 2026 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — The Omniscience Of Our God
Topic: The Omniscience Of Our God
Text: Psalm 139:1-9
1(To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.) O LORD, thou hast searched me, and known me.
2Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off.
3Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways.
4For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, thou knowest it altogether.
5Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me.
6Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it.
7Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?
8If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.
9If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea;
Key Verse: “O LORD, thou hast searched me, and known me” (Psalm 139:1).
Message
A young boy once tried to hide from his father after breaking a vase. He hid under the bed, thinking his father wouldn’t find him. But his father, knowing the boy’s favourite hiding spot, called him out gently, saying, “I know where you are.” This story reminds us of God’s omniscience. He knows everything about us, from our deepest fears to our highest aspirations. He is Almighty and All-knowing and nothing happens without His knowledge.

Psalm 139 shows us that we cannot run or hide from God’s presence. He knows our innermost thoughts and loves us despite our flaws, but He doesn’t want us to continue with our flaws. How foolish to think that you can commit sin secretly and hide it from Him! God is calling all sinners to repentance because no sin can be hidden from Him. Beloved, if you are living contrary to the will of God, repent now because your most secret sin is open before God. You can also trust in God’s wisdom and omniscience to guide your decisions today and always.
Quote: He knows everything about us
Challenge: God knows everything about you.
Prayer for today: Lord, help me to live transparently before You.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
