Topic: The Presence Of The Omnipresent

Text: Exodus 33:12-17

12And Moses said unto the LORD, See, thou sayest unto me, Bring up this people: and thou hast not let me know whom thou wilt send with me. Yet thou hast said, I know thee by name, and thou hast also found grace in my sight.

13Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have found grace in thy sight, shew me now thy way, that I may know thee, that I may find grace in thy sight: and consider that this nation is thy people.

14And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.

15And he said unto him, If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence.

16For wherein shall it be known here that I and thy people have found grace in thy sight? is it not in that thou goest with us? so shall we be separated, I and thy people, from all the people that are upon the face of the earth.

17And the LORD said unto Moses, I will do this thing also that thou hast spoken: for thou hast found grace in my sight, and I know thee by name.

Key Verse: “And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest” (Exodus 33:15).

Message

Omnipresence is God’s ability to be everywhere at every time. God’s omnipresence goes along with His omnipotence which means He has all power. He is also omniscient; He knows all things. All three represent the attributes of God that man cannot have. Moses knew how challenging the journey ahead of him would be therefore he requested God’s presence. When God is with us, all will be alright.

God’s omnipresence reminds us of our privilege as well as our responsibility. He is ever present to defend His children from every danger, but His piercing eyes also see the occurrence of any act of disobedience. In the world, ungodly bosses usually watch their subordinates’ actions for the purpose of control or exercise of authority.  God is not like that; and as a good Father, He wants to instruct, teach, and guide His children with His eyes. We continue to enjoy the protection of His presence as we walk in obedience to His commandments. Like David, say, “The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear?”

Quote: God is with us, all will be alright

Challenge: God is my Companion, I fear no one.

Prayer for today: Christ be beside me, above me, all around me. Amen.

GOSPEL REALM: STEPS TO SALVATION
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
