DCLM Sincere Milk 30 September 2022 — The Redeemer
DCLM Sincere Milk 30 September 2022 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — The Redeemer
TOPIC: THE REDEEMER
TEXT: GALATIANS 3:10-14
11But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.
12And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them.
13Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:
14That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
Key Verse: “Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree” (Galatians 3:13).
MESSAGE:
A Redeemer is someone who provides redemption for another person. Redemption means to rescue upon payment of a ransom. Before creating the world, God knew both the need for and the means of the redemption He would provide through Jesus Christ. Therefore, when Adam and Eve disobeyed and were cut off from fellowship with God, He made provision for how He will redeem men from perishing.
In the Old Testament times, the sacrificial system was established to bring sinners into a right relationship with God. However, it was discovered that those sacrifices were not sufficient to permanently take away sin and provide salvation for humankind.
God, in His love and mercy then sent Jesus Christ His only begotten Son, to come and die for us. Jesus paid the price of our release from sin and its punishment. His death was in exchange for our life.

Jesus Christ, our Redeemer has come to save us from sin and condemnation, free us from the fear of death and rescue us from eternal punishment in hell. He has made provision for our freedom from the curse, adoption into God’s family, deliverance from sin’s bondage, peace with God and eternal life with Jesus in heaven at last.
To benefit from all that our Redeemer has provided, the sinner must believe in Him, repent and ask for pardon and cleansing of his sins with the blood of Jesus. Take this step now and be saved.
Prayer: My Redeemer, I surrender all to You.

1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
