Text: Isaiah 1:16-19
17Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.
18Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
19If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:

Message
Goodluck was a very bright student in his class, he was also an obedient child, whenever he was called to run an errand for his teachers, he did it with joy and never complained. Unknown to him, the school authorities observed his life and were impressed by his conduct. During the graduation ceremony of the school, he was given the award for the most obedient student.
Obedience brings blessings while disobedience leads to punishment and suffering. If you choose to obey, then you have opened the door of blessings to yourself. These blessings include both physical and spiritual blessings.
Examples include – promotion, protection, preservation, perfect health, prosperity, presence of God, eternal life and crown with stars.
If you are a disobedient child, you can come out of your disobedience even now. Jesus is waiting to receive you. Tell Him you are sorry for your life of disobedience. Ask Him to forgive you and also wash your heart clean with His blood. Turn away from every form of disobedience. Ask Jesus into your heart to be your personal Saviour and Lord. Then start to read the word of God, meditate on its commandments and obey everything. God will bless you as you obey.

Prayer for today: I repent from all forms of disobedience today so that I can enjoy the blessings of God.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
