DCLM Higher Everyday 20 April 2024 — Water Dispenser
DCLM Sincere Milk 20 April 2024 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Water Dispenser
Topic: Water Dispenser
Text: Proverbs 5:13-17
13And have not obeyed the voice of my teachers, nor inclined mine ear to them that instructed me!
14I was almost in all evil in the midst of the congregation and assembly.
15Drink waters out of thine own cistern, and running waters out of thine own well.
16Let thy fountains be dispersed abroad, and rivers of waters in the streets.
17Let them be only thine own, and not strangers’ with thee.
Key Verse: “Let thy fountains be dispersed abroad, and rivers of waters in the streets.” Proverbs 5:16
Message
A water dispenser is a machine that supplies cool water for drinking. It is usually in use in an office, home, bank or other public places. Our Bible passage instructs that we should let our rivers of water flow to all that come in contact with us. What does this mean? It means that we should show kindness to everyone. You should not be that child that is greedy and not willing to share what you have with others. You have a responsibility to share love and care to your neighbours, school mates, friends and church members, even to your enemies, for by so doing you can bring them to Christ.

Your life is a book for others to read. Let those friends read you and be drawn to Christ through your life. Be a water-dispenser that distributes water of compassion, kindness, love, favour, helping hand, goodness and good care to all around you. Let your light so shine before them that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven. “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” (Matthew 5:16)

Prayer for today: Lord, give me the grace to be a blessing-dispenser so that others will be blessed through me
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
