DCLM Sincere Milk 2 June 2026 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — What do you want?
Topic: What do you want?
Bible Reading: Mark 10:46-52 (KJV)
46And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging.
48And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me.
49And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee.
50And he, casting away his garment, rose, and came to Jesus.
51And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight.
52And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.
KEY VERSE: “…What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight.” Mark 10:51
Message
An eye witness told a story of a servant of God who met two men on the way during one of his evangelistic outings. He was led by the Spirit of God to pray for the healing of one of the two men who was on the wheelchair. He invited the men and wanted to pray for the healing of the disabled one. But both of them bitterly refused. They rather asked the evangelist to give them whatever money he had to give them and when he insisted on praying, the other man rolled the wheelchair hurriedly away.
Some people may wonder why Jesus asked the blind man the question in our Bible passage. Didn’t He see that this man was blind? There are some physically challenged people who use their odd conditions for other benefits like making money. They prefer to remain in their sickness. The Lord was delighted because this man knew what his real need was. We must learn to find out our most pressing needs in life.

PRAYER FOR TODAY
Lord, all I want is the forgiveness of all my sins, and a heart that loves and obeys You always.
FURTHER READING
Matthew 16:24-26
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
