Topic: You Are Not A Failure

Text: Psalms 37:23,24

23The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.

24Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.

Key Verse: “Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.” Psalms 37:24

Message

You are created in the image of the Almighty God, so you are not a failure or useless.

Notwithstanding what anybody feels or thinks about you or your situation, you are of great value and priceless. There may be moments of temptation and setback, these do not make you a “failure.” Such situations only make you go through learning and growing process. Just like a baby learning to walk, there will be times of stumbling and falling down, but does that make the baby a failure? No! A baby does not give up thinking that he can never master the growth process of walking, but will keep on trying and every day getting better.

God does not see you on the path of failure. You are created with potentials to succeed in life. Failure teaches us to be strong and courageous. Someone said, “Our greatest glory is not in falling, but in rising up every time we fall.” Failure should make us to dig deeper, find that inner strength to keep pushing forward. It gets you through the worst of times and makes you rely and rest on God.

Prayer for today: God, help me not to give up in life, but to keep trying until I achieve Your purpose for my life.

GOSPEL REALM: STEPS TO SALVATION
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
