Text —Ezekiel 36:25-27
25Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.
27And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.
Key Verse: “Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.” Ezekiel 36:25
Message
God used the flood in the time of prophet Noah to make everything new. For a while the evil that had brought such misery to the world was gone. It seemed as though the flood had washed the earth clean of sin. Yet, there was a problem: the hearts of people were still sinful, and soon evil started to spread again.

Our world today is still corrupt and sinful just like it was in the time of the first generation. Yet, God is working to make our life become new. This time, it is not through washing by the flood or blood of animals, but through the blood of Jesus. God sent His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ to die on the cross and shed His blood for us. It is only the blood of Jesus that can get rid of sin from the hearts of those who believe. God says, “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you” (Ezekiel 36:26).
God is merciful and patient- He does not want anyone to die in sin. He is holding back His judgment for as long as possible so that many people can be saved (2 Peter 3:9). Do not delay any longer, repent and ask Jesus to forgive and wash you clean in His blood.

Prayer for today: Lord, give me a new life.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
