Topic: Peace Proclaimed

Text: Philippians 4:4-7

4Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.

5Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.

6Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

7And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Key Verse: “And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:7

Message

Peace is the desire of all. People want to be at peace within themselves, at peace with their world and at peace with their Maker. Most people live and do what they do because they believe they will have more peace by what they do. The question is, what is peace? a. To withstand and overcome the regular pressures and troubles of this world.
b. To enjoy the blessings of God.
c. To receive instruction, revelation and direction from God.

You cannot have joy if you lack peace; it is impossible to be excited when you are worried; it is impossible to be happy when you are anxious; it is impossible to have joy when everything that surrounds you is trouble.

To enjoy the peace of God, you must be a friend of the Prince of Peace by surrendering your life to Jesus. Then peace can be proclaimed in your life

GOSPEL REALM: STEPS TO SALVATION
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
