DCLM Higher Everyday 24 February 2026 — The Final Separation
DCLM Higher Everyday 24 February 2026 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — The Final Separation
Topic: The Final Separation
Text: Matthew 25:31–34
31When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:
33And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
34Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
Key Verse: “And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left” (Matthew 25:33).
Message
The subject of final separation comes with deep solemnity because it entails the judgment of God on humanity. God’s awaiting judgment on humanity is still an established and unavoidable fact even though it is rejected and ridiculed in many quarters and denominational circles. In a similar message culled from Metropolitan Tabernacle Pulpit Volume 21, Charles Spurgeon, speaking on the final day said: “The day that many thought should never come; that all wicked wished should never come; that all righteous had expected long; day greatly feared, and yet too little feared by him who feared it most.”

The separation will be in two categories – the group of the sheep representing the saints and the goats representing sinners. No sitting on the fence, no purgatory. The separator will be Christ, the Lord. He will X-ray the motives behind our actions. The judgment will be terrifying and characterised by regret, agony and anguish for the unrepentant youth. Conversely, for the saved youth, it will be a moment of unspeakable joy. If you repent now and live righteously, you will be among the sheep.
Quote: No sitting on the fence
Challenge: Decision determines destiny.
Prayer for today: Lord, I repent of all sins and forsake them to live for You.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
