Message
Janet’s mother was very sick, and the doctors said she might not survive. Everyone in the family was afraid, but Janet remembered how their pastor always said, “Trust in the living God, He never fails.” She prayed every day, believing that God would heal her mother. After weeks of treatment and prayer, her mother recovered completely. The doctors were amazed, but Janet knew it was God’s doing.
Trusting the living God means believing that He is in control, no matter the situation. Paul encouraged Timothy to keep his faith, even when he faced suffering. Many times, we go through hard times: sickness, failure, or disappointments, but God remains faithful. He expects us to trust in Him with all our hearts because He can do exceedingly above what we think or say. He is the Saviour of all, but only those who believe in Him will experience His power. Instead of worrying, we should trust that God will take care of us. He never fails those who put their hope in Him. He will not fail or forsake you!
Lord, help me to trust You completely, no matter the situation.
Trust in God, He never fails.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
