TOPIC: HAMAN, THE BAD MAN IS HANGED – PART 2
BIBLE TEXT: ESTHER 7:8-10
9And Harbonah, one of the chamberlains, said before the king, Behold also, the gallows fifty cubits high, which Haman had made for Mordecai, who had spoken good for the king, standeth in the house of Haman. Then the king said, Hang him thereon.
10So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then was the king’s wrath pacified.
MEMORY VERSE: “So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then was the king’s wrath pacified” (ESTHER 7:10).
MESSAGE:
Sowing and reaping is an undisputable natural law. It is one of the most fundamental principles in life. “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap” (Galatians 6:7). Haman had gallows erected to hang Mordecai on, but ended up being the one hanged on them. He reaped what he sowed against Mordecai and the Jews. Haman was brought to total disrepute, a national embarrassment, shame, and untimely death. Listen, friend, those who seek to destroy others end up being destroyed themselves. The blackmail, lies, gossip, attacks, slanders, mudslinging, and various acts of wickedness toward others will eventually come to ruin the perpetrators’ lives.
Examine your life today. Are you involved in any wicked act? Have you ruined or planning to ruin someone’s life, career, or business? Hang off immediately so that iniquity will not be your ruin. Repent of any such wicked deeds. He who sows the wind will surely reap the whirlwind. “Woe unto the wicked! It shall be ill with him: for the reward of his hands shall be given him” (Isaiah 3:11).
QUOTE: Are you involved in any wicked act?
CHALLENGE: Desist from evil.
PRAYER: Father, deliver me from wicked people, in Jesus’ name.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
