Text: Proverbs 14:11-16
11The house of the wicked shall be overthrown: but the tabernacle of the upright shall flourish.
12There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
13Even in laughter the heart is sorrowful; and the end of that mirth is heaviness.
14The backslider in heart shall be filled with his own ways: and a good man shall be satisfied from himself.
15The simple believeth every word: but the prudent man looketh well to his going.
16A wise man feareth, and departeth from evil: but the fool rageth, and is confident.

Message
According to Longman dictionary, “A Mirage is an effect caused by hot air in a desert, which makes you think that you can see objects when they are not actually there.” Many times, we ask ourselves why there is so much godlessness in our world today. The answer is the false belief that sin brings gain. This is a mirage, because the gains of sin are False Experiences Appearing Real as the gain will eventually lead to hell, a place of endless suffering. Satan will always paint his bad things with bright colours which are very attractive, but alas! danger lies beneath.
Are you being tempted to give up on your Christian faith? Are you envious of the wicked? Are you tired of waiting on God for answers to your prayers? Don’t give up your faith! All that Satan gives is just a mirage; it passes away with time. Hold on to the Ancient of days Who abides forever more. There are great blessings awaiting those who will follow Christ till the end.

Prayer for today: Lord, I have made up my mind to follow You to the end, help me, Lord.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
