Topic: All-round Prosperity
Text — 3 John 1:1-4
1The elder unto the wellbeloved Gaius, whom I love in the truth.
2Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
3For I rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in thee, even as thou walkest in the truth.
4I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.
Key Verse: “Beloved, I wish above all thing’s that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.” 3 John 1:2
Message
Many people often think prosperity means abundance of material things, financial breakthrough, success in academic and others. All these are physical prosperity. The Bible passage focuses on complete prosperity, which covers both the spiritual and physical. The first aspect that God is interested in is our souls. This is because the soul of man is diseased with sin and can only enjoy good health when all its iniquities are forgiven and will also prosper when it is totally cleansed and made holy.
As friends of Jesus, we will enjoy the full blessings of God if only we walk in truth and righteousness. God’s promised prosperity is complete, which means it covers all the areas of our lives. It is not the will of God for any of His children to live in sickness, failure, oppression, poverty and other unpleasant conditions. Remember that the first thing to do is to ensure that you are born again. If you are not, do so now by confessing and forsaking your sins and asking Jesus to forgive you. Then, surrender totally to God, live daily for Him and obey His word. You will definitely enjoy all-round prosperity.

Prayer for today: Lord, help me to walk in the truth so that I can enjoy Your promised complete prosperity.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
