DCLM Sincere Milk 13 March 2024 — Ask, Seek, Knock

DCLM Sincere Milk  13 March 2024 Devotional by Pastor W. F. KumuyiAsk, Seek, Knock

Topic: Ask, Seek, Knock

Text: Luke 11:9-13

9And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.

10For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

11If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent?

12Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion?

13If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

Key Verse: “And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.” Luke 11:9

Message

A young girl named Eva desired a pair of shoes for her graduation programme in her school. When her dad returned, she made her request known to him and he promised to buy it.
Like Eva, you must ask any good thing you need from God and it shall be given you. If you are seeking for a blessing like success in academics, promotion, good health, provision etc., you will find; and if you knock on heaven’s door in prayer at any time, the door shall be opened unto you. You now have full access to tell God your needs and they shall be granted unto you. Ensure you ask in faith and don’t doubt and it shall be done.
Write out in the spaces below, five prayer points and spend at least 10 minutes to pray on them.

Prayer for today: Lord, thank You for answering all my prayers.

GOSPEL REALM: STEPS TO SALVATION
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
