TOPIC: Blessed Are The Peacemakers
Text: Matthew 5:9-12
9Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
10Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
11Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
12Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.
Memory Verse: “Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.” Matthew 5:9
MESSAGE:
Victor is a Christian boy who loves to show others what it means to be a Christian. One day, he saw two boys fighting during the break period. He quickly separated and calmed them down. He then went ahead to teach them the danger of engaging in sinful acts. The boys became sorry for their sins and surrendered their hearts to Christ.
In this story, Victor can be described as a peacemaker and a true child of God. Children of God are peacemakers and Christ expects you to be a peacemaker like Him anywhere you find yourself whether at home, school, market, church or on the playground. You are to be an agent of peace.

There are blessings that follow peacemakers and one of it is that Christ will accept you as His child. Do you know what it means to be a child of God? It means you will have access to God’s blessings both physical and spiritual. As you go out today, be an ambassador of peace as you show sinners how to make peace with God through repentance. God will bless you richly.

Prayer for today
Lord, make me a peace maker today.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
