Bible Reading: 1 John 1:5-10 (KJV)
5This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
6If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
7But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
8If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
9If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
MEMORY VERSE: “If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:” 1 John 1:6
Message
Every day, we have to decide what is good and what is not good, whether to follow God or not. When we choose God’s way, it is like turning on a flashlight in the dark and everything gets clearer and brighter. By avoiding sin and living in God’s delight, we’re showing the world the power of His love and grace in our lives. So, let us stick to the light, say no to sin, and keep shining bright for Christ.
When a sinner comes to Jesus, accepts that he is a sinner, becomes sorry for his bad ways, confesses his sin, and surrenders his life to Jesus completely, he moves from darkness to the light. Those who have gone back to darkness should come to Jesus with confidence. He will welcome them back with open arms saying, “I love you, and I forgive you’.
After receiving forgiveness, we are to go forth as new creatures to show forth the light. Jesus says that we are the light of the world. So let your light shine before them in the way you talk and act. Others will see the light of God in you and come to know the Lord also
PRAYER FOR TODAY
Lord, help me stay in Your light by living a life that is totally free from sin.

1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)

4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
