Text: Jeremiah 9:23,24
24But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the LORD which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the LORD.
Key Verse: “Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches:” Jeremiah 9:23
Message
There is nothing that a person has that is not from God. Wisdom, abilities, talents, success and achievements in life are all received from God and not by man’s own power. There is a great danger in boasting about one’s achievement. When you do that, you are simply claiming the glory that belongs to God. Taking glory for one’s success is pride and Satan is the father of proud people.
Do you have talents, abilities or you are blessed with wisdom that is making you to excel in your studies? Please, do not boast, because doing such does not only make God unhappy, but also attracts His anger and punishment. The grace and mercies of God only abound toward the people that are not proud but humble as the Bible puts it in James 4:6 “But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.“
No matter what you have or have acquired, you must learn to recognize the gracious Giver and give Him all the glory. You must honour and lift up His name in everything you do so that you can enjoy more of His blessings.

Prayer for today: Help me God, to give You the glory for all that I become and all that I have in life.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
