DCLM Higher Everyday 26 April 2026 — God’s Attribute – Omniscience

DCLM Higher Everyday  26 April 2026 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — God’s Attribute – Omniscience

Topic: God’s Attribute – Omnipotence

Bible Reading: Psalms 139:7-12 (KJV)

7Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?

8If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.

9If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea;

10Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.

11If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me.

12Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee.

MEMORY VERSE: “Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; But the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee” (Psalm 139:12).

Message

If you knew someone was watching you, there are many things you’d avoid doing. We put up our best appearance and act at our best if someone is watching, especially when it’s someone we love or who loves us. As Christian youths, do we remember that someone who loves us more than anything is always watching us? God is watching, not necessarily to judge, but to love us. Do we live with this awareness?

Are you a youth who sinning against God without remorse? As Psalm 139:7-8 says, “Whither shall I go from thy spirit? Or whither shall I flee from thy presence? If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.” As believers, this should be comforting to us as under His watch no harm can come upon us. God’s presence gives peace and relief, especially to believers. For sinning youths, His presence seems distant, leaving them troubled and without peace. He knows all things, past, present, and future.

PRAYER FOR TODAY

Help me to be conscious of Your presence, Oh God!

CHALLENGE

God is perfect in knowledge.

GOSPEL REALM: STEPS TO SALVATION
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
