24The fear of the wicked, it shall come upon him: but the desire of the righteous shall be granted.
25As the whirlwind passeth, so is the wicked no more: but the righteous is an everlasting foundation.

Message
Winnie was a brilliant girl. Her sunday school teacher nick-named her “Engineer” because of her skill in operating the class laptop. Winnie’s burning desire was to take the first position in her final examinations. One day her sunday school teacher taught on the topic: “Granted desires.” She concluded with a saying that “If wishes (desires) were horses beggars might ride.” That means we must, personally, work and pray hard to attain our desires.
From that moment, Winnie decided to work harder. She cut down on the time she spent to play and watch the TV. She prepared a time table to guide her in her studies. She did all her school and Church assignments and paid more attention to her lesson teacher. She studied well ahead of her examinations and prayed more, asking God for the wisdom and understanding in all her subjects. God granted her desire. She became the best student in her school.
However, it is not all desires that God grants. God only grants godly desires. You must desire good things for yourself and for others too. Take your desires to God in prayer, do your part, and God will grant the desires of your heart.
PRAYER FOR TODAY
Lord, grant me the grace to do what You expect from me; so that You can give me the desires of my heart.

Psalm 37:1-4
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
