Message

God is the best and most reliable Friend we could have. He is always ready to listen, comfort, and guide us. Just like talking to a best friend, we can pray to God anytime. He is there for us offering love and support through everything we face.

Samuel had a best friend named Maxwell and they did everything together. One day, Samuel realized that God could be his best Friend too. He could talk to God like he talked to Maxwell. From then on, Samuel started praying more and felt God close to him, even when he was alone. Samuel understood that God desires to be our Friend, always ready to hear and draw us closer to Himself.

The quality that made Father Abraham become a friend of God was faith. He believed God, obeyed His commandments and then came into a covenant relationship with God. The question you must find answer to now is “is God your Friend?” If yes, then you must continue to follow Him. On the other hand, if your answer is no, then do not waste your time any further. Surrender your life to Him now. Turn away from all sins and ask Him to forgive and wash you clean with the blood of Jesus.

PRAYER FOR TODAY

God, thank You for being my Friend. Help me to trust You every day.

GOSPEL REALM: STEPS TO SALVATION
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
