Bible Reading: Deuteronomy 6:23-25 (KJV)
23And he brought us out from thence, that he might bring us in, to give us the land which he sware unto our fathers.
25And it shall be our righteousness, if we observe to do all these commandments before the LORD our God, as he hath commanded us.

Message
The doctor did all she could to persuade Dorcas to take her drugs faithfully. She warned that her condition will get worse if she skipped any of the doses. She wishes Dorcas realizes that obeying the doctor’s instructions is for her good; though the drugs may taste bitter all through. In our Bible passage, Moses, the servant of God was telling the children of Israel of the great and personal benefits of obeying God’s instructions.
The children of Israel have already suffered so much for disobeying and rebelling against God. Many of them were bitten by snakes and some even died. They were defeated by the army of a small city called Ai. Those from 20 years old and above who left Egypt perished in the wilderness and even Moses was stopped from entering the Promised land: all because of disobedience to God’s instructions. Moses was reminding them of their past experiences and making them to see the reasons why they must change their ways and love the Lord; that it may be well with them.
Obeying God’s command and fearing the Lord, our God is to preserve us alive. Remember doing what is right before God is for your good: it shall be for your blessing, your joy, your peace, your safety and for your righteousness.
PRAYER FOR TODAY
Heavenly Father, I will love You with all my heart and I will obey Your word all the time.
