DCLM Daily Manna 27 May 2026 — Jewels Of His Crown
DCLM Daily Manna 27 May 2026 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Jewels Of His Crown
TOPIC: Jewels Of His Crown (DCLM Daily Manna 27 May 2026)
KEY VERSE: And they shall be mine, saith the LORD of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him. – Malachi 3:17
TEXT: Malachi 3:13-18 (KJV)
13 Your words have been stout against me, saith the Lord. Yet ye say, What have we spoken so much against thee?
14 Ye have said, It is vain to serve God: and what profit is it that we have kept his ordinance, and that we have walked mournfully before the Lord of hosts?
15 And now we call the proud happy; yea, they that work wickedness are set up; yea, they that tempt God are even delivered.
16 Then they that feared the Lord spake often one to another: and the Lord hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the Lord, and that thought upon his name.
17 And they shall be mine, saith the Lord of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.
18 Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not.
DCLM Daily Manna For Today MESSAGE:
Throughout generations, a remnant has always been found even in the darkest era, and God notices and evidently blesses them.
Running through the Book of Malachi is a thread of conversations between the loving, longsuffering Elohim and a lawless lip-serving, egg-headed people. While God’s love would not let go a recalcitrant unrepentant nation that had experienced God’s mercy firsthand, the people would not let go what the Lord hates. God was engrossed in correcting, convicting and calling rebellious Israel to return, but they were engaged in plunging deeper into filth and the stench of sin and corruption.

The text shows the wholehearted word from the Lord sent to His halfhearted worshippers who delighted in living in denial and querying the rationale behind God’s rebuke. The instruction is unmistakable: “Return, repent and accept my love with wholehearted obedience.” Today, as in the days of Malachi, many believers are also lukewarm in their faith. While they profess to serve and love God, they actually fix their focus and preference in life on themselves. And as they grapple with their self-inflicted challenges, they impugn God’s love and faithfulness in their hearts.

The Lord, however, does not change. He reaffirmed His promises to the faithful few saints in contrast to the sceptical majority. While the ungodly were uttering hard sayings, those who feared God remained bonded in a lateral relationship, defended God’s dealings, and encouraged one another to love and trust Him. They also had a vertical relationship, effected in their fellowship in the Spirit with God and obedience to His word.
In His omniscience, God knows and notes those who serve Him; He keeps their record in the book of remembrance.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
God’s ultimate aim is to transform vilest offenders who repent into jewels of immeasurable value.

1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
