Message
“Children’s Day is a special occasion that celebrates children’s innocence, joy, and unbridled potential. It recognizes the importance of nurturing and cherishing the little ones who hold the key to our future. Children’s Day is an opportunity to reflect on the wonders of childhood and the profound impact that children have on our lives,” submitted Bella. Children are very important to God’s purpose of creation. They are that important to warrant Christ’s support for their inclusion in church’s activities as He declares in Matthew 19:14: “Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.”
Children are valuable resources for the family and humanity. The Lord expects the world to take good care of them to grow into responsible and responsive adults who can continue God’s plans of creation. A popular adage says, “Every child is a different kind of flower, and all together, they make this world a beautiful garden.” As a youth, pray to God to help you to understand who you are to align your plans with your potentials.
Lord, help me to explore my potentials to use them positively.
Every child is unique.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
