TOPIC: MAINTAIN GOOD WORKS

TEXT: TITUS 3:12-14

12 When I shall send Artemas unto thee, or Tychicus, be diligent to come unto me to Nicopolis: for I have determined there to winter.

13 Bring Zenas the lawyer and Apollos on their journey diligently, that nothing be wanting unto them.

14 And let ours also learn to maintain good works for necessary uses, that they be not unfruitful.

Key Verse: “And let ours also learn to maintain good works for necessary uses, that they be not unfruitful” (Titus 3:14).

MESSAGE:

Our Lord Jesus Christ came into the world to seek and save the lost. He went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed by the devil. He showed us by example that we should do good to everyone around us.

Friends of Jesus don’t do bad to others. They help those who are sorrowful, sick or who are in need of comfort or any other thing. They do not laugh at the children who suffer or are in need. They will rather be like Jesus and show compassion by praying for them, speaking words of encouragement, supporting them and even sharing what they have with the people who are in need.

Christ still does good to people today and expects all born again children to continue to do good to others without getting tired. He will reward every child who continues to do good to others. At the end, He will take them to heaven.

Satan is evil and the children of Satan are evil. They show this by the things they do. As a child of God, you must not copy their example, but always and in every situation maintain good works.

Prayer: Our heavenly Father, please give me power and grace to do good to others.

GOSPEL REALM: STEPS TO SALVATION
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
