Text: Proverbs 24: 10- 14
10If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small.
11If thou forbear to deliver them that are drawn unto death, and those that are ready to be slain;
12If thou sayest, Behold, we knew it not; doth not he that pondereth the heart consider it? and he that keepeth thy soul, doth not he know it? and shall not he render to every man according to his works?
13My son, eat thou honey, because it is good; and the honeycomb, which is sweet to thy taste:
14So shall the knowledge of wisdom be unto thy soul: when thou hast found it, then there shall be a reward, and thy expectation shall not be cut off.

Message
A story was told of a missionary who went to another country to preach the gospel. He preached for so many years but there was no success. At a point, he became discouraged and was ready to give up the work. One night, he slept, had a dream and saw himself using a hammer to break a big rock. He hit the rock with the hammer several times but the rock did not break, so he became tired and discouraged and was ready to walk away. Suddenly, someone appeared to him and encouraged him not to give up that even if there appeared to be no success, what was important was that he did the work he was asked to do, he should leave the success in the hand of the One That sent him to do the work. The missionary was encouraged to try again.
As he lifted up the hammer and hit the rock one more time, the rock broke into pieces. He got the message. “Never give up in life.”
Many children are faced with life challenges and are becoming frustrated after they had tried and tried but failed to overcome. The story of the missionary should be a lesson to you that you should never stop trying. If you have prayed over a problem and the problem is still there, pray again, and never stop praying until you have the solution. Never give up!

Prayer for today: God, give me the strength never to give up in life, no matter the challenge.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
