TOPIC: PRESERVED FROM THE FLOOD

BIBLE TEXT: GENESIS 7:1-10

1And the LORD said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation.

2Of every clean beast thou shalt take to thee by sevens, the male and his female: and of beasts that are not clean by two, the male and his female.

3Of fowls also of the air by sevens, the male and the female; to keep seed alive upon the face of all the earth.

4For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living substance that I have made will I destroy from off the face of the earth.

5And Noah did according unto all that the LORD commanded him.

6And Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters was upon the earth.

7And Noah went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons’ wives with him, into the ark, because of the waters of the flood.

8Of clean beasts, and of beasts that are not clean, and of fowls, and of every thing that creepeth upon the earth,

9There went in two and two unto Noah into the ark, the male and the female, as God had commanded Noah.

10And it came to pass after seven days, that the waters of the flood were upon the earth.

MEMORY VERSE: “And the LORD said unto Noah,Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation” (Genesis 7:1).

MESSAGE:

The sin of Adam and Eve led to total depravity of man, bringing man under God’s wrath and judgment. With increased wickedness of man, God resolved to destroy the earth with flood. However, He instructed Noah, a righteous man, to build an ark. This Noah did by faith. On completion of the ark, Noah brought his family and prescribed animals into the ark, after which God released the flood that destroyed the earth. Only Noah’s family and the animals were preserved from the flood. All who rejected Noah’s warning perished in the flood. No youth should perish with sin, the instrument of destruction.

Our Lord Jesus Christ is the Ark, who saves from sin. As a Christian youth, like Noah, live a righteous life in this corrupt world and be preserved from eternal damnation. Let your life reflect Christ before fellow youths at school, work place, and in your community. Preach
Christ to them, warning them of God’s impending judgment for unrepentant sinners. Those who believe will be saved from the scourge of hell fire.

CHALLENGE: Resolve to live a righteous life in this corrupt world.

QUOTE: Live a righteous life

PRAYER: Use me Lord to preach Christ to unbelieving youths.

GOSPEL REALM: STEPS TO SALVATION
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
