20Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.

21For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Key Verse: “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” 2 Corinthians 5:21

Message

God places His children in the places they are for a specific kingdom purpose -to promote His righteousness. To do I this, a friend of Jesus must continue to live a righteous life in all things and at all times. Wherever you are, remember that you are Christ’s ambassador. An ambassador is a person who represents his/her country in a foreign land. Ambassadors endeavour to live in a way that will not destroy or tarnish the image of their countries.

Likewise, as an ambassador of Christ, your life must show Who God is – Holy and Righteous. Do not hide your Christian identity anywhere you find yourself, remember that God is watching you. Your life (dressing, speech, association) must preach the gospel of reconciliation of men to God. Jesus must be proclaimed as the Mediator between God and man. You are God’s spokesperson, so speak for Him. Some people were commended in the Bible for being diligent in the things of God, they were faithful ambassadors. God is depending on you to play your part now.

Prayer for today: God, help me to be a worthy ambassador who will promote your righteousness everywhere I go.

GOSPEL REALM: STEPS TO SALVATION
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
