DCLM Sincere Milk 5 November 2022 — Sufficient Grace

DCLM Sincere Milk 5 November 2022 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Sufficient Grace

TOPIC: SUFFICIENT GRACE

BIBLE TEXT: 1 CORINTHIANS 1:1-5

KEY VERSE: “Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Corinthians 1:3).

MESSAGE:

The Lord Jesus Christ came to the world and provided all that the believer needs to be able to live a victorious life in every place and in every situation. He brought down the riches of heaven to the earth for us. Among these are the twin virtues of grace and peace.

Grace is the unmerited love, favour, good will and kindness of God. It is the spring and source of all blessings we receive from God. Peace on the other hand is freedom from trouble, fear, anxiety and worry. It comes as a result of our trust in God’s promises and the hope of living in heaven with Jesus at the end of our lives here on earth.

Grace accomplishes all things in a believer’s life and plants the seed of the peace of God in our hearts. The grace and the peace of God are for those that are set apart for God’s glory through the sacrifice of Christ Jesus. Today, you can receive the grace of God that brings salvation, a pure heart, the power of God’s Spirit and victory over Satan and sin. This you can do by repenting and turning away from all your sins.

Prayer: Thank You Lord for Your grace through which I am saved and for Your peace in my heart.

GOSPEL REALM: STEPS TO SALVATION
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
