Text: Daniel 1:17-21
17As for these four children, God gave them knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom: and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams.
19And the king communed with them; and among them all was found none like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah: therefore stood they before the king.
20And in all matters of wisdom and understanding, that the king enquired of them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and astrologers that were in all his realm.
21And Daniel continued even unto the first year of king Cyrus.

Message
Daniel and his three friends were men of purpose and God blessed them with wisdom to the point that they were ten times better than all their peers at that time. What made them outstanding was their relationship with God. They loved God and never allowed anything to change their conviction. prayerful. They were uncompromising, and were prayerful.

To be like them, you must have all their qualities. You must first of all establish a relationship with God, be uncompromising, serve God diligently, be a boy or a girl of prayer and study the word of God every day. Wisdom and understanding come from God and you must be ready to ask God Who gives freely to His children. You can be ten times better than all your classmates and friends if only you will ask God. Begin to confess, “I will be the head and not the tail. I will be above only, and not beneath. I will be ten times better than all my peers.” The Lord confirms your confession. Amen.

Prayer for today: Lord, lift me up to become ten times better than all my peers.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
