Text: Revelation 12:9-11
10And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.
11And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
Key Verse: “And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.” Revelation 12:9
Message
A gentleman was walking through an elephant camp. He noticed that the elephants were not being kept in cages or help by the use of chains. All that was holding them back from escaping the camp, was a small piece of rope tied to one of their legs. As the man gazed upon the elephants, he was completely confused as to why the elephants didn’t just use their strength to break the rope and escape the camp. The trainer said; “When they were very young and much smaller, we used the same size of rope to tie them. At that age, it was enough to hold them. But as they grew, they became conditioned to believe they cannot break away. They believe the rope can still hold them, so they never try to break free.”
Just as with the small rope, Satan has tied people to lifestyle of sin through deceit. This makes people to forget that the wicked will one day be cast into hell and every nation that forgets God. He deceives people not to see the need to ungently repent of their sins and prepare for eternity. Stop and think, is Satan still deceiving you to continue in your sinful ways? Remember sin leads to eternity in hell fire. Shake yourself out of Satan’s rope of deceit. Repent of your sins and call on the Lord Jesus for your salvation.

Prayer for today: O Lord, set me free from the rope that ties my life to sinful habits.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
