TOPIC: THE UNFORGETTABLE TOUCH

TEXT: LUKE 5:12-15

12And it came to pass, when he was in a certain city, behold a man full of leprosy: who seeing Jesus fell on his face, and besought him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.

13And he put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will: be thou clean. And immediately the leprosy departed from him.

14And he charged him to tell no man: but go, and shew thyself to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing, according as Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.

15But so much the more went there a fame abroad of him: and great multitudes came together to hear, and to be healed by him of their infirmities.

Key Verse: “And he put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will: be thou clean. And immediately the leprosy departed from him” (Luke 5:13).

MESSAGE:

Jesus Christ is our loving and compassionate Saviour. Anyone that comes in contact with Him, whatever the problem, receives instant solution. His touch is the touch of a miracle.

Patience was a child of God, who was well known in her community for her righteous life. One day, Patience’s father had a terrible car accident that affected his legs. He couldn’t walk and became bedridden. He had to stop working because of this condition.

Patience brought this case to a church annual retreat programme. The minister of God asked every participant to raise up hands for anointing. Patience promptly raised her two hands. When she got home after the retreat, she laid her hands on her father and prayed in the Name of Jesus. Instantly, he got up from his bed and started walking and praising the Lord.

The touch of Jesus saves from sin, heals sicknesses and diseases, and cleanses from defilement. Let Jesus touch you today, and you will be made whole. Prayerfully sing this chorus:

“He touched me, oh He touched me,
And oh, the joy that floods my soul,
Something happened, and now I know,
He touched me, and made me whole.”

Prayer: Lord Jesus, I come to You today. Please touch me and make me whole.

GOSPEL REALM: STEPS TO SALVATION
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
