TOPIC: TITHES AND OFFERING: GOD’S PROPERTY

TEXT: MALACHI 3:7-12

Key Verse: “Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it” (Malachi 3:10).

MESSAGE:

Asa Candler was a Christian pharmacist and founder of the Coca-Cola company, maker of Coca-Cola beverages. He saw his personal wealth as a divine trust to be used for the benefit of humanity.

As a result, he usually gave a high percentage of the profit from his sales for the work of God and he helped the needy. God so blessed him that his brand – Coca-Cola, has become a well-known beverage all over the world.

Tithing is an ordinance that God commands. It is the 1/10 of your pocket money or any other cash gifts you receive from your uncles, aunties and other beloved relatives. Offering is any amount that you can give after paying your tithes. You must deduct whatever is your tithe and offering before you start spending the remaining to meet your needs.

Learn to give your tithes and offerings willingly, with joy. As you give back to God from what He gives you, good health, divine protection, abundant provision and success will be yours.

Tithes and offerings belong to God. They are used for the upkeep of His house and to take care of His ministers. Give and it shall be given to you; good measure, pressed down and shaken together and running over shall God give to you.

Prayer: Please Lord, make me a cheerful giver.

GOSPEL REALM: STEPS TO SALVATION
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
