DCLM Daily Manna 7 October 2025 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — When Babylon Is Gone

TOPIC: When Babylon Is Gone (DCLM Daily Manna 7 October 2025)

KEY VERSE: “And the voice of harpers, and musicians, and of pipers, and trumpeters, shall be heard no more at all in thee; and no craftsman, of whatsoever craft he be, shall be found any more in thee; and the sound of a millstone shall be heard no more at all in thee” (Revelation 18:22).

TEXT: Revelation 18:21-24 (KJV)

21 And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all.

22 And the voice of harpers, and musicians, and of pipers, and trumpeters, shall be heard no more at all in thee; and no craftsman, of whatsoever craft he be, shall be found any more in thee; and the sound of a millstone shall be heard no more at all in thee;

23 And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived.

24 And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth.

DCLM Daily Manna For Today MESSAGE:

A big tree in an African village served the people well. Birds and animals found comfortable habitation in its branches and relied on it for food. Its vast shadow became a huge canopy for the villagers and served as a market square. As development came to the village, there was a need to construct a modern highway that would necessitate uprooting the tree. It was also planned to erect electric poles along the new road to provide electricity to the village. The cherished tree was cut down to the disappointment of humans and animals whose activities at that spot were abruptly ended.

When the demise of Babylon the Great finally happens, the deceived world will be greeted with a similar disturbing feeling. Like the great millstone cast into the sea by the angel, a swift end will be made of Babylon with her government, influence, and seduction. The worldly entertainment, especially music and all things that massage people’s lustful passions, will be halted.

There will be such utter desolation capable of drowning the “voice of the bridegroom and of the bride.” All the occult and mystic networks will lose their grip and deceptive power. This spiritual Babylon is the arch-persecutor of the Church and is responsible for the killing of numerous faithful servants of God whose blood she must now account for.

The wickedness of this world, which finds expression in all spheres – politics, commerce, culture, and spiritual state – will not continue. God has decreed that the monstrous Babylon, which is at the head of all these, will be brought to book. Rebellious men who subscribe to the system and shun the light of the gospel will not only be disappointed but will also be damned eternally.

You must examine where you stand in God’s scheme of things. If you have all along pitched your tent with Babylon, you must take steps to heed the wise counsel of the Lord today: “Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues” (Revelation 18:4).

GOSPEL REALM: STEPS TO SALVATION
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
