DCLM Sincere Milk 22 April 2026 — You Are A Mirror
DCLM Sincere Milk 22 April 2026 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — You Are A Mirror
Topic: You Are A Mirror
Bible Reading: 2 Corinthians 3:15-18 (KJV)
15But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart.
16Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away.
17Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
18But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
MEMORY VERSE: But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.” 2 Corinthians 3:18
Message
A mirror commonly called a looking glass, is an object that reflects both images and light. Can you imagine what it was like before mirror was invented? People probably only had a lake or pond to look at in order to see their reflection. And even then, it wasn’t an accurate reflection. But God wants us to be mirrors reflecting not ourselves, but the image of Christ. When we live and speak like Jesus, others will understand what it means to follow Him.
Christians must mirror Christ to the world, both individually and together as a body of believers. This means showing traits like love, compassion, humility, and righteousness, just like Jesus did. We are also charged with reflecting His teachings and actions in our beliefs and conduct, which include forgiving others, showing mercy, loving sacrificially and placing others before ourselves.
Be a mirror from today to shine the love and light of Jesus to the world. Grow more like Him each day and shine brighter with His glory for all to see!
Heavenly Father, help me to show Jesus’ love and kindness to people around me.
Matthew 5:14-16
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
