DCLM Higher Everyday 21 April 2026 — Go And Find Them

DCLM Higher Everyday  21 April 2026 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Go And Find Them

Topic: Go And Find Them

Bible Reading: Luke 14:16-24 (KJV)

16Then said he unto him, A certain man made a great supper, and bade many:

17And sent his servant at supper time to say to them that were bidden, Come; for all things are now ready.

18And they all with one consent began to make excuse. The first said unto him, I have bought a piece of ground, and I must needs go and see it: I pray thee have me excused.

19And another said, I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I go to prove them: I pray thee have me excused.

20And another said, I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come.

21So that servant came, and shewed his lord these things. Then the master of the house being angry said to his servant, Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in hither the poor, and the maimed, and the halt, and the blind.

22And the servant said, Lord, it is done as thou hast commanded, and yet there is room.

23And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.

24For I say unto you, That none of those men which were bidden shall taste of my supper.

MEMORY VERSE: “And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled” (Luke 14:23).

Message

Jesus told a parable about a man who prepared a great feast and invited many guests, but they all made excuses. In response, he invited the poor, the blind, and the outcasts, those whom society overlooked. The Lord doesn’t want sinning youths to perish. Hence the command to all saved youth: “Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled” (Luke 14:23). Are you born again? Then the Lord is calling you to be involved in evangelising your sinner friends.

Many youths reject God’s invitation with excuses that hold no weight. Some claim they are too young to serve God, yet the Bible urges, “Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth” (Ecclesiastes 12:1). Wasting youthful days on ungodliness leads to regret in old age. Christ’s love compels us to share the gospel. Evangelism is not just words but a reflection of God’s love through kindness and truth. Ask God to lead you to someone in need of His love and invite them into His kingdom today.

PRAYER FOR TODAY

Heavenly Father, please help me to reach out to the lost. Amen.

CHALLENGE

Preach the gospel.

GOSPEL REALM: STEPS TO SALVATION
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
