DCLM Higher Everyday  27 July 2026 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — God Will Never Leave Us

Topic: God Will Never Leave Us

Bible Reading: Deuteronomy 31:1-6 (KJV)

1And Moses went and spake these words unto all Israel.

2And he said unto them, I am an hundred and twenty years old this day; I can no more go out and come in: also the LORD hath said unto me, Thou shalt not go over this Jordan.

3The LORD thy God, he will go over before thee, and he will destroy these nations from before thee, and thou shalt possess them: and Joshua, he shall go over before thee, as the LORD hath said.

4And the LORD shall do unto them as he did to Sihon and to Og, kings of the Amorites, and unto the land of them, whom he destroyed.

5And the LORD shall give them up before your face, that ye may do unto them according unto all the commandments which I have commanded you.

6Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

KEY VERSE: “Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.” Deuteronomy 31:6

Message

Sometimes we may feel afraid or alone, but we can always trust that God is with us. No matter where we are or how we feel, He never leaves our side and is always ready to comfort and protect us.

One night, James was scared to sleep in his new room because it was so dark and quiet. His mom reminded him that God is always with him, even when he feels alone. He prayed and asked God to help him feel safe. As he laid down, he remembered that God would never leave him no matter what. James fell asleep peacefully knowing that God was watching over him.

God is always with us, and we can trust Him to never leave us, even when we are afraid or lonely. When we trust God, He will see us through the troubles and challenges of life. No matter what we face, we can rely on His presence to comfort us, give us strength, and guide us. God’s love and care are constant, and He is always there to help us overcome our fears and difficulties.

PRAYER FOR TODAY

God, help me to trust You and know that You will never leave me.

GOSPEL REALM: STEPS TO SALVATION
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
