Topic: Miracles Through Prayers

Text: Jonah 2:1-4, 10

1Then Jonah prayed unto the LORD his God out of the fish’s belly,

2And said, I cried by reason of mine affliction unto the LORD, and he heard me; out of the belly of hell cried I, and thou heardest my voice.

3For thou hadst cast me into the deep, in the midst of the seas; and the floods compassed me about: all thy billows and thy waves passed over me.

4Then I said, I am cast out of thy sight; yet I will look again toward thy holy temple.

Key Verse: “And the LORD spake unto the fish, and it vomited out Jonah upon the dry land.” Jonah 2:10

Message

Miracles happen every day. Yes! Very true; in fact, spectacular miracles happen every minute all over the world because our God is a miracle worker. What is a miracle? According to Oxford dictionary, “It is an extraordinary and welcome event that is not explicable by natural or scientific laws and is therefore attributed to a divine agency.”

In our Bible passage God proved His greatness by preparing a fish to swallow up Jonah. Jonah was in a serious distress in the belly of the fish and therefore needed a miracle, which only prayer could bring to him. Jonah prayed and God answered with a miracle. The fish vomited him on the dry ground. Do you need a miracle? You can get connected to your needed miracle through prayers. Expect a miracle when you pray! For our God is a miracle working God. Write your prayer request in the lines below. Then pray and believe God for a miracle!

GOSPEL REALM: STEPS TO SALVATION
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
