DCLM Sincere Milk 8 November 2026 — My Class Note

DCLM Sincere Milk  8 November 2026 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — My Class Note

Bible Reading: Romans 15:4-6 (KJV)

4For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

5Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus:

6That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

KEY VERSE: “For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.” Romans 15:4

Message

Every class lesson comes with a note which pupils/students are expected to take down during teaching and learning. Sometimes our teachers even allocate marks on the assessment sheet for class notes to show how important note-taking is. So many students have excuses for not taking down notes during classes. No matter how genuine the excuses are, it will not save them from failure when examination comes.

Our text shows us the importance of note-taking; it is for learning – you can always refer back to it for better understanding. For comfort – you have peace of mind that you can always study with your note. It gives hope – an assurance that if you diligently study your note, you will have good grades.

Both in classes in the school and church, we need to take down notes so we can increase our learning and become better versions of ourselves. Don’t just take down notes, study your notes to learn valuable lessons that will make you successful.

PRAYER FOR TODAY

Dear Father, make me a diligent child who writes and reads his notes.

GOSPEL REALM: STEPS TO SALVATION
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
