Message
There are great lessons to learn when you plant a seed and watch it grow from the beginning. Some seeds will germinate, grow and bring forth new seeds that are more than what was sown. Other seeds may not even germinate, while some will germinate but die at an early stage of growth. This is to show that everything around us is temporary. This means they will not last forever but for a certain period of time.
We can also learn from this that everything around us has a beginning and an end. God is not like that, He is eternal. Eternal means lasting forever, unending and ever present. God is eternal because He does not have an end. He is forever, He cannot change like we do. God is and always has been exactly the same as He is right now. He is bigger than time itself. This means that however far back in time we can think, God was there! He has always existed because He is eternal. He will never fade away, He is forever.
God’s plan for you is that you live eternally with Him in heaven. If you are still a sinner, repent and surrender your life to Jesus, live a holy life every day. Jesus is coming back very soon to take His friends to live with the eternal God in heaven. Make sure you are ready.
PRAYER FOR TODAY
Eternal God, be my Rock and My Defence.
FURTHER READING
Psalm 90:1-5
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
