Topic: Our Solid Foundation

Text: 1 Corinthians 3:11-15

11For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

12Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;

13Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is.

14If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.

15If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

Key Verse: “For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.” 1 Corinthians 3:11

Message

Every building starts with a foundation; a house without foundation will collapse within a short time. The foundation also has to be strong and solid so that it can stand the test of time.

Scripturally, Jesus is our solid Foundation, He is the Rock on which we stand and we need to build our relationship with Him from the foundation, so we can have a smooth and secured life while on earth and make it to heaven at last. The world is full of evil and wickedness is everywhere both in school, market, church, on the street and in the neighbourhood. This is why you need someone who is able to help you overcome all these, and that Person is Jesus.

Today, you can decide to build your trust and confidence upon Him, make Him your solid Foundation and within a short time, you will begin to see the tremendous progress and changes in your life. To have a solid foundation, you must connect with Jesus by surrendering your life to Him.

Prayer for today: Lord, I surrender all to you today, be the solid Foundation of my life.

GOSPEL REALM: STEPS TO SALVATION
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
